How to measure an influencer marketing campaign

The metrics that matter in an influencer campaign: reach, frequency, views, CPV, engagement rate and conversions, and their limits.

How do I measure the results of an influencer marketing campaign?

Set metrics before launch, based on the objective: reach and frequency for awareness, views and retention for video consumption, clicks and conversions for action. Report each metric with its source. Adding creator audiences together is not unique reach, and views do not automatically mean sales.

In the Unify platform, impressions, reach, engagement, likes, comments, views and shares are collected automatically after posts go live, and campaigns can be compared side by side and exported as reports.

How do you calculate CPV and engagement rate?

CPV (cost per view) is the campaign cost divided by eligible views. Engagement rate is interactions divided by a stated denominator: followers, reach or views. Always state what the cost includes and which denominator you use, otherwise comparisons are meaningless.

How do you avoid attributing every sale to the campaign?

Use UTM links, unique discount codes and a stated attribution window, while recognising they capture only part of the customer journey. Sales rising during a campaign do not on their own prove creators caused it. To estimate incremental effect, compare against a period or region without the campaign.

There is no official public statistic on how many sponsored posts are published each month in Romania. Platforms do not release this data by country, and many collaborations are not disclosed correctly: ANPC’s April 2026 check found inconsistently labelled commercial posts. Any estimate must state its method and source.

The next campaign starts with a conversation.
